Presented in 2016, the Guadalupe collection revisits the iconic styles and colour palettes of Bitossi through a contemporary lens. With it, Bethan Laura Wood pays homage to one of the most iconic productions of Aldo Londi. Techniques such as geometric surface engraving are combined with marine-inspired tones. Slip cast in white clay and finished with brilliant crystalline glazes, the collection consists of three shapes in lilac, emerald green and ocean blue.
Bethan Laura Wood is an English designer and artist who researches materials and colours in close collaboration with different artisans. Her relationship with local culture and a conscious approach to sustainability are central to her kaleidoscopic works. They are exhibited in some of the most important design museums in the world. Bitossi Ceramiche makes the collection in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. The wide vase pairs naturally with the slim vase and the bowl of the same collection, in one colour or in a mix of all three.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche GUADALUPE vase by Bethan Laura Wood reinterprets the heritage of the Tuscan manufacture with a contemporary eye. Its wide cylindrical body closes in a flat, angular shoulder and ends in a narrow neck with a flat, disc-shaped lip. The whole surface is engraved with fine vertical lines and geometric triangles. The version shown is finished in a glossy lilac crystalline glaze that pools in the incisions. It is a designer vase with a rich, tactile surface. Also available in emerald green and ocean blue.
