Stamp engraving was introduced by Aldo Londi among the decorative techniques of Bitossi in 1956. It became one of the most recognisable signs of his work. The Historical Archive Reissues bring back pieces created between the 1950s and the 1970s, now kept in the Bitossi Archive. Each carries the inventory number of the original and the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli on its base.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist, with a strong love for animal figures. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes his designs in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. The horse vase brings a cheerful note to a console or a bookcase. It looks lively next to the wheel cat or other Archive figures.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO vase with horse figures reissues a playful 1963 design by Aldo Londi. Two small horse heads rise from the rim, facing away from each other. The cylindrical body is divided by raised rings into bands of stamped motifs. A glossy orange glaze covers the whole piece and makes every incision stand out. It is a limited edition of 199 pieces, halfway between a vase and a sculpture. With a single branch or left empty, it brings a joyful touch of Italian ceramic art to the home.
