Kasu is a new 2026 collection, designed by Bernard Dubois for PIN–UP HOME in collaboration with Bitossi Ceramiche. It brings the rigour of industrial materials into dialogue with the timeless presence of ancient vessels. Each form is slip cast in white clay and seems both unearthed and refined, like an artefact from an unknown civilisation.
Bernard Dubois is a Belgian architect based in Brussels, whose work combines analytical rigour with visual sensitivity. He studied the materials, forms and textures kept in the Archivio Museo Bitossi in Montelupo Fiorentino. There he found in engraving a contemporary design tool, combined with patinated colours that echo an ancient language. The contrast between the studded body and the smooth neck catches the light beautifully. It looks striking on a bookcase or next to the other Kasu forms.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche KASU vase by Bernard Dubois combines two pure shapes: a cylinder and a square. The round body is covered with dense raised studs, like an ancient vessel encrusted with rivets. On top sits a smooth square neck, with a strong architectural outline. The matte oxidised brown finish looks patinated, as if the piece had been found in an excavation. It is a designer vase with a timeless, sculptural presence, slip cast in white clay in Tuscany.
