The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. The originals are kept today in the Bitossi Archive in Montelupo Fiorentino. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original piece on its base, together with the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.

The Lava series shows Londi at his most experimental. The volcanic texture contrasts with the shine of the ochre glaze and underlines the graphic pattern of the holes. The vase works as a sculpture on a console or in a bookcase. It creates a vivid dialogue with the other Lava piece of the Archive, in green and blue.
