Seta means silk in Italian, and the series owes its name to this refined, textile-like decoration. The Historical Archive Reissues, launched in 2003, bring back ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. Each piece carries the inventory number of the original and the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli on its base.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist, with a rare sense for colour and detail. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes his designs in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. The Seta vase suits an elegant living room or a dressing table. It is lovely with a few short flowers, or alone as a golden accent.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO Seta series vase reissues a 1961 design by Aldo Londi. Its slim stem opens into a wide, trumpet-shaped mouth. The outside is covered in fine coloured bands in lilac and soft pink, like a woven silk fabric. Thin threads of pure gold run between them and catch the light. Inside, a glossy violet glaze adds depth and contrast. It is a precious designer vase, produced in a limited edition of 199 pieces.
