Tagliata means cut in Italian, and every piece in the series plays with a single opening in a pure volume. The Historical Archive Reissues, launched in 2003, bring back ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. Each piece carries the inventory number of the original and the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli on its base.
Londi worked with Bitossi for more than fifty years, first as art director and later as a collaborator. The company still makes his designs in Montelupo Fiorentino, where it was founded in 1921. With its restrained palette, this vase suits minimal and contemporary interiors. It forms a strong group with the Tagliata box and the yellow Tagliata vase.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO Tagliata series vase reissues a 1971 design by Aldo Londi. It is a wide, solid cylinder with a deep U-shaped cut on the front. The cut drops almost to the middle of the body and opens a window onto the interior. Outside, a rough manganese-brown glaze gives the surface the look of dark stone. Inside, a glossy white glaze shines through with a crisp contrast. It is a sculptural designer vase, produced in a limited edition of only 99 pieces.
