Tagliata means cut in Italian, and the whole series is built on this single, decisive gesture. The Historical Archive Reissues bring back ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s, now kept in the Bitossi Archive. Each piece carries the inventory number of the original and the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli on its base.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes his designs in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. The vase is perfect for a single branch or a tall dried flower. It pairs well with the other Tagliata pieces in brown and white.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO Tagliata series vase reissues a 1971 design by Aldo Londi. Its tall, narrow cylinder stands on a round disc foot. At the top, a deep vertical cut opens the wall and reveals the interior. Outside, a rough manganese-brown glaze recalls bark or volcanic stone. Inside, a glossy yellow flashes out through the cut like a ray of light. It is a rare sculptural vase, produced in a limited edition of only 99 pieces.
