The Shapes of Resistance was first presented in 2025 as a collection of four sculptural vases in lava black and blue. In Georgia, the tradition of ceramic vases is deeply intertwined with the history of the country. Simple volumes, organic shapes and bold colours create an authentic experience that symbolises the act of resistance. In 2026 a new chromatic edition in grey and ivory lava softened the contrast of the first one.

Rooms Studio was founded in 2007 by Nata Janberidze and Keti Toloraia and is the first female-led design studio in Georgia. Its interiors and collectible objects draw on Georgian furniture traditions, from ancient and medieval times to the Soviet era. Bitossi Ceramiche makes these vases in Montelupo Fiorentino, where it was founded in 1921. The smallest of the four, it fits a shelf, a desk or a kitchen counter.

THE SHAPES OF RESISTANCE Vase

100% Made in Italy

The Bitossi Ceramiche THE SHAPES OF RESISTANCE vase by Rooms Studio draws on the ancient tradition of Georgian ceramics. Shaped like a jug, it has a pouring lip and a single handle in blue lava on a black body. The rough lava surface of lava black and blue contrasts with the soft, organic volume. It is wheel-thrown in white clay, with elements applied by hand. It is a luxury designer vase with the presence of a sculpture. Also available in grey and ivory lava.
