The Wiggle collection by Max Lamb stems from an exploration of materiality. Presented in 2017, it consists of six round and square forms that recall architectural elements. They are slab-built or wheel-thrown in white clay. The surface is then carved by hand with a spiral metal wire, which creates a wavy, moving texture. The palette is made of matte glazes: midnight blue, white, moss green, purple, cream and royal blue.

Max Lamb is a designer who applies traditional methods and primitive materials to contemporary design. He explores unconventional processes, such as casting pewter into sand or working volcanic rock. His works are held in major museums, including the Design Museum in London and SFMOMA in San Francisco. This moss green vase brings a natural touch to a shelf or a dining table. It pairs well with the other Wiggle forms, round or square.

100% Made in Italy

The Bitossi Ceramiche WIGGLE vase by Max Lamb is a round column covered in soft, wavy ridges. The lines were carved by hand with a spiral metal wire, so they flow around the body like ripples on water. A slim foot lifts the cylinder slightly from the surface. The matte moss green glaze settles into every groove and brings out the texture. It is a designer vase with an earthy, tactile character, made in Tuscany. Its surface invites the hand as much as the eye, with or without flowers.
