The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. The originals are kept today in the Bitossi Archive in Montelupo Fiorentino. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original piece on its base, together with the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.
Londi was a painter, a sculptor and above all a ceramist, and he loved to test new contrasts of colour and matter. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes his designs in the Tuscan town where the company was founded in 1921. The black and white palette makes this bowl easy to place in a modern or minimal interior. It can hold fruit, or stand empty as a sculptural object.

100% Made in Italy
This Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO bowl reissues a 1962 design by Aldo Londi. Its wide, conical body rests on a low round foot and opens into a broad, flat rim. The surface follows a grid decoration in semi-gloss white and black glaze. Large sections of speckled white meet sharp fields of deep black, with a clean geometric cut. It is a bold, graphic designer bowl for a dining table or a console. This 2006 reissue is a limited edition of 199 pieces.
