The Historical Archive Reissues faithfully reproduce ceramics that Aldo Londi created between the 1950s and the 1970s. This bowl dates from 1955, a season of research and experimentation at Bitossi. Each reissue carries the inventory number of the original piece on its base, together with the historic brand name Cav. G. Bitossi & Figli.
Painter, sculptor and above all ceramist, Londi balanced technical skill with creative sensitivity and a love of research. Bitossi Ceramiche still makes his designs in Montelupo Fiorentino, the Tuscan town where the company was founded in 1921. The bowl can hold keys, sweets or small objects. It also looks beautiful empty, next to a vase from the same collection.

100% Made in Italy
This Bitossi Ceramiche ARCHIVIO STORICO bowl reissues a 1955 design by Aldo Londi. Its low, soft oval shape rises gently at both ends, like a small boat. The inside is scattered with tiny glossy dots in red, blue, yellow and green. They stand out on a warm matte ivory ground with a light speckled texture. The effect is light and festive, like confetti scattered across a sheet of paper. It is a designer bowl for a coffee table or a console, made in a limited edition of 199 pieces.
