Presented in 2016, the Guadalupe collection revisits the iconic styles and colour palettes of Bitossi through a contemporary lens. With it, Bethan Laura Wood pays homage to one of the most iconic productions of Aldo Londi. Techniques such as geometric surface engraving are combined with marine-inspired tones. Slip cast in white clay and finished with brilliant crystalline glazes, the collection consists of three shapes in lilac, emerald green and ocean blue.
Bethan Laura Wood is an English designer and artist who researches materials and colours in close collaboration with different artisans. Her relationship with local culture and a conscious approach to sustainability are central to her kaleidoscopic works. They are exhibited in some of the most important design museums in the world. Bitossi Ceramiche makes the collection in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. On a dining table or a coffee table, the bowl works well with the two Guadalupe vases in the same or a contrasting colour.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche GUADALUPE bowl by Bethan Laura Wood is a wide, low bowl with straight, vertical sides. Its outer wall is engraved with fine lines and geometric shapes, like a band of textile patterns. Inside, concentric rings in relief echo the worked exterior. The version shown is finished in a glossy lilac crystalline glaze that gathers in each incision. It is a designer bowl for fruit, for a centrepiece or simply for display. Also available in emerald green and ocean blue.
