Simbolik is the first collection Karim Rashid created for Bitossi Ceramiche, launched in 2006 and still produced in a limited edition. Totems, vases and bowls make up this series of signs and symbols. Their magnetic, vibrant colours range from fuchsia to pistachio green and from canary yellow to silver. Each piece is slip cast in white clay. Every geometric and graphic element is repeated endlessly, in form and decoration alike, in the designer's distinctive style.
Born in Egypt, Karim Rashid lives and works in New York and is known for his democratic approach to design. An eclectic figure, he moves between interiors, fashion, furniture, art and music. His works are part of many permanent collections and are exhibited in galleries worldwide. Bitossi Ceramiche makes the collection in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. Its narrow, elongated shape makes it ideal for a mantelpiece or the centre of a long table.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche SIMBOLIK bowl by Karim Rashid draws a soft figure of eight, like the sign of infinity. The elongated body is glazed in glossy burgundy and rests on a slender conical foot. Inside, a light blue surface with a decal decoration contrasts with the deep outer colour. A thin white line follows the rim and underlines the fluid outline. It is a designer bowl for a console, a shelf or a dining table. The piece is made in a limited edition of 349 pieces.
