Simbolik is the first collection Karim Rashid created for Bitossi Ceramiche, launched in 2006 and still produced in a limited edition. Totems, vases and bowls make up this series of signs and symbols. Their magnetic, vibrant colours range from fuchsia to pistachio green and from canary yellow to silver. Each piece is slip cast in white clay. Every geometric and graphic element is repeated endlessly, in form and decoration alike, in the designer's distinctive style.
Born in Egypt, Karim Rashid lives and works in New York and is known for his democratic approach to design. An eclectic figure, he moves between interiors, fashion, furniture, art and music. His works are part of many permanent collections and are exhibited in galleries worldwide. Bitossi Ceramiche makes the collection in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. The orange bowl can hold fruit or small objects, or stay empty as a colourful accent next to a Simbolik totem.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche SIMBOLIK bowl by Karim Rashid gives a rounded square shape a bold, graphic identity. The body is glazed in glossy orange, framed by a wide white rim. Inside, a decal decoration draws black and white stripes, like a symbol printed on the surface. A low foot lifts the bowl slightly and lightens its profile. It is a designer bowl for a coffee table, a console or a dining table. The piece is made in a limited edition of 349 pieces.
