Simbolik is the first collection Karim Rashid created for Bitossi Ceramiche, launched in 2006 and still produced in a limited edition. Totems, vases and bowls make up this series of signs and symbols. Their magnetic, vibrant colours range from fuchsia to pistachio green and from canary yellow to silver. Each piece is slip cast in white clay. Every geometric and graphic element is repeated endlessly, in form and decoration alike, in the designer's distinctive style.
Born in Egypt, Karim Rashid lives and works in New York and is known for his democratic approach to design. An eclectic figure, he moves between interiors, fashion, furniture, art and music. His works are part of many permanent collections and are exhibited in galleries worldwide. Bitossi Ceramiche makes the collection in Montelupo Fiorentino, where the company was founded in 1921. The white bowl is the most versatile of the Simbolik bowls, and it sits well in both colourful and neutral interiors.

100% Made in Italy
The Bitossi Ceramiche SIMBOLIK bowl by Karim Rashid is the calmest shape of the series, a round bowl with a wide, generous rim. Its glossy white glaze acts as a clean canvas for the decoration. At the centre, a decal draws a lime green oval outlined in pink. A thin burgundy line crosses it diagonally, like a graphic signature. It is a designer bowl that brings a pop note to a dining table or a sideboard. The piece is made in a limited edition of 349 pieces.
